Frederick’s answer: unsure what your definition of 'surrender date' is, but in regards to the injury accident, you can retain a personal injury attorney at no cost out of pocket, no win = no fee, basis and that attorney would most likely be able to provide direction in handlng your pending surrender date. I suggest moving in that direction to obtain the fastest result.

Should I hire injury lawyer to help me or proceed directly with the insurance company?: I was recently injured in a bike vs. car accident. My friend and I went out for a bike ride. We started to cross an intersection once we determined it was safe. While I was crossing, a vehicle ran its light and knocked me off my bike. I suffered lacerations to my face and scrotum, as well as bruising and swelling all over my body. I received stitches on my forehead and my scrotum.

Frederick’s answer: people think it's very simple; I was doing nothing wrong, it was the other person's fault, they have insurance, therefore they will pay for all of my damages. Chapter 1 economics is supply and demand; if there were no demand for attorneys there would be no attorneys. The insurance company creates the demand. They will make this very difficult and frustrating for you, tempting you to walk away or walk away with a lesser amount. Let an attorney fight this battle for you.

Are my insurance company working with me in terms of my best interest? Who is at fault in this accident?: Long story short, the light turned yellow for some time while I try to make a left turn, the car from opposite direction hit me in a very fast speed. My dash camera shows that the light turned red when he was still behind his white pedestrian lines.

I have a footage showing that I might of started to turn left a little early, roughly at around 3-4 seconds when I still could of waited for the light to turn red first. I was wondering if handing over the footage to my insurance is a good idea; whether they'll work the best they can try to help me win or not be faulted to the best of their ability?

Frederick’s answer: at a minimum it will establish to your own carrier that you were not the primary collision factor and thus your rates should not be affected. Your carrier will not pursue any claim for bodily injury on your behalf, you must retain a personal injury attorney to do so.
